@lucianaterroni: I always try to focus on the beauty of every place I visit

Luciana, a travel and lifestyle blogger from Twentyfourwithme, shares with us her favourite countries, her worst experiences from her travels and what three things can’t be missing in her suitcase. And what country is still on her wishlist? Read the interview and find out!

Hi Luciana. Could you describe yourself just in three words?

Enthusiastic, Determined, Dreamer. I will forever be a dreamer!

You are a travel and a lifestyle blogger on twentyfourwith.me. When did you start your blog and what made you launch it?

I started writing my blog two and a half years ago. The desire to write about my travels and express myself was always there I was just hesitant to start. While having lunch with friends, they asked me for tips on their upcoming holiday, something that happened before with others. A bit of confidence boosting and a few hours later I was registering my blog domain and haven’t stopped ever since.

Let’s talk about traveling first. How many countries have you visited so far?

72 countries, I might be off by a couple though.

What country was your favourite so far and why? Do you have any travel tips of what to visit there?

I love Italy the most, maybe it’s because of my Italian roots or just because I love the food, people and landscape so much. I visit Italy every year and knowing that there is still so much more to discover sure puts a smile on my face. I would highly recommend going to the famous cities off-season for the best experience. Book a hotel directly through their website (it is always cheaper this way for the small hotels and bed & breakfasts), rent a car ahead of time for the best rates and eat at small trattorias.

What country disappointed you the most and why?

I always try to focus on the beauty of every place I visit. After traveling to so many countries and experiencing different cultures I have realized that every place shares something special and unique, but it’s really up to us to see it this way. What disappoints me the most is how certain tourists don’t follow the same rules they would at home, throwing trash everywhere, disrespecting nature and not being mindful of the huge impact their behavior has on the world.

What countries are still on your travel wishlist?

This year I really want to visit Colombia and Iran. My travel goals for 2019 is to travel to places that are not yet popular, to find more hidden gems of this world!

For how long have you been traveling and what was the first destination you have visited?

I remember when I was a child, my mom would always take me on trips around my home country, Brazil. I guess that travel seed stayed with me since then, but the constant travel only started when I moved to Dubai 7 years ago. I find that living in the UAE makes it so much easier to see the world because of its convenient location.

If you had just one destination ahead and no more, what place would you choose?

This is so hard, can I say the whole world?! Ok, maybe Australia, since it has so much to offer, and yet I feel like I haven’t explored much of it.

Any bad experience from your travels?

I was robbed in Italy of all places, valuables were stolen from our car. It was an unfortunate experience mostly because our camera was stolen. I learned to back up everything daily just in case, because before this incident I never used to do that. A tip for those traveling with a car, keep your valuables with you even if you are just quickly going somewhere and use garages or car parks with CCTV.

What about the good ones?

There are so many! Most recently on our trip to China, my husband and I were blown away by how attentive and caring the Chinese people are even with the language barrier. People went out of their way to help us, using google translate to communicate, taking their time to explain something to us and even walking us to places so we would not get lost.

What three things do you always need to have packed in your suitcases?

I always have my camera, phone charger and a good lip balm.

Lifestyle is something like a mix of fashion, beauty and everyday life. What part of it is your favourite?

I have always loved fashion so much and I’m so happy that I have added more of that into my travels.

What is your favourite clothing piece, style and color?

Dresses! The most effortless way to look stylish while traveling light. I love maxi and A-Line dresses and everything in shades of pink.

Do you take fashion trends seriously or not? If yes, what is your most favourite trend and what trend don’t you like?

I don’t follow trends at all. I love purchasing things I love and that fits my body type. I always tend to fall for floral prints and very feminine styles.

How does your everyday makeup routine look like ?

I am still learning how to do my makeup, so any tips are welcomed in this department. I always use a tinted spf cream, a bit of sheer foundation on my T-Zone, define my eyebrows with an eyebrow liner, mascara and tinted lip balm.

Do you have any hobbies other than traveling?

I love working out, be at the gym or maybe a pilates class. Outdoor activities like rollerblading, SUP or hiking too. I am also always trying to improve my photography and editing skills, so I spend a lot of time watching online tutorials.

We are called InfluencersRE. What does the word influencer mean to you? Do you consider yourself an influencer?

I don’t think of myself as an iInfluencer, but every now and then I am reminded that I do impact followers on where to go which makes me so happy. I believe we all influence others in some way.

What option would you choose from these?

gin tonic / wine Wine for sure

pizza / burger Both!

movie / series Movie

sneakers / heels Sneakers

mountains / seaside Mountains

half-empty glass / half-full glass Half-Full for sure

Thank you for your time. Our last question is: What do you think about our project InfluencersRE?
